If your charger is connected to a third-party operator, please use the app / portal provided by that service provider.
If your DEFA Power is part of a charging system (for example in housing cooperative or company), contact the owner of the system.
If your DEFA Power is part of a charging system, you may have limited access to some features (for example EcoMode).

The Max Charging Limit is the highest charging power that can be delivered to a vehicle. While a DEFA Power supports up to 22 kW, the actual maximum charging power depends on several factors:
• The size of the building’s main fuse/service connection
• The circuit breaker protecting the charger
• The cable dimension and installation to the charger
• In shared installations, the total available power allocated to all chargers in the system
As a result, the actual charging power may be lower than 22 kW depending on the site’s electrical infrastructure, power management settings, and the vehicle’s onboard charger.
Here you can set the charger’s maximum charging current, from 6 A up to the highest level supported by the installation. This setting is useful if you do not have load balancing but want to limit the charging power, for example to reduce the load on your electrical installation or avoid peak power demand.
• DEFA Power (DEFA Power • DEFA) – for single, ready-to-use installations.
• DEFA Power S (DEFA Power S • DEFA) – for smart charging systems and more advanced setups.
DEFA Power S is essentially the same as DEFA Power, but with two key additions that make it more suitable for system-based installations:

Of course, if you prefer, you can also set up your own charging schedule based on electricity prices.
If you have solar panels and Perific there are three modes that can help you lower your costs.
Your installer is authorized to perform a factory reset.
The Wi-Fi signal can be checked by the installer using the setup app.
If the connection to the network is lost, contact your installer for assistance.
In the DEFA Power app: Charger->Settings->Advanced->Restart charger. You can also use the breaker in your electrical cabinet.
You do not need to take any action, as this is handled automatically by DEFA.
If you are a private customer and need to force an additional update, please contact your installer, who will take the matter further.
If you are a business customer/facility owner, please contact your installer, DEFA, or CloudCharge if you are a CloudCharge customer.
It is displayed in the app under “About Charger”.
The official firmware version, which is MID-approved, is shown on the right-hand side of the screen. This is the version used for certification and compliance purposes.
You can check the DEFA Balancer status in the app, under “Settings” and “Load Balancing”. If the Balancer is active and operating normally, its status will be shown in the app. If it is not active, it will be displayed as “Inactive”.
The only troubleshooting you can perform yourself is to check whether the charger is online. You can do this in the app, where you can also see whether DEFA Balancer is active.
You can also try restarting DEFA Power or switching off and back on the circuit breaker supplying power to the DEFA Balancer.
For further troubleshooting, please contact your installer.
This is most likely caused by a weak network connection. The charger may still appear online because it is connected via 4G, while the DEFA Balancer relies on a Wi-Fi or LAN connection.
It is also possible that the charger itself is offline.
If the Balancer status shows “Not active”, it means that the DEFA Balancer and DEFA Power are not communicating with each other.
