DEFA Power or Power S

– The installer’s guide to choosing the right product

DEFA Power is available in two versions: one tailored for home charging, and one built for advanced, future-ready systems in everything from housing cooperatives to hotels. The question is — which solution is the right choice for you as an installer?

Choosing the right charging products can mean the difference between a simple installation and a truly scalable solution. At DEFA, we’ve made it easy to tailor your setup – whether you’re wiring a single-family home or planning for a large-scale charging infrastructure. Here is what every electrician needs to know before ordering DEFA Power.

DEFA Power S – for smart, scalable solutions

DEFA Power S is essentially the same as DEFA Power, but with two key additions that make it more suitable for system-based installations:

  1. Integrated circuit breaker with the wall bracket – saves time and reduces external component mounting.
  2. Integrated 4G connectivity – perfect for cloud-based monitoring and load balancing across units.

DEFA Power S has more features than DEFA Power and is the more cost-effective choice for installations with multiple charging stations at the same location.

The solution is scalable and can grow with your needs. If you’re installing for a business, residential complex, or any site that requires a future-proof system – this is the one to choose.

The difference between DEFA Power (home charger) and DEFA Power S (system charger) is that Power S comes with an integrated circuit breaker with the wall bracket, and also has integrated 4G connectivity.

Power Ready S wall bracket – preparing for the future

Power Ready S isn’t a charging station – yet. It’s just the wall bracket with integrated MCB, and a protective cover. Why is that?

For example, your client wants future charging capability on 20 parking spots, but only needs ten charging stations today. Then Power Ready S is the solution. You can finish the cabling and mount all the wall brackets now. When the time comes to add the actual charging station, all they need to do is to buy the DEFA Power Up unit – no new cabling, no new installation.

The magic is in the S:
DEFA Power Scalable
DEFA Power System
DEFA Power Smart

DEFA Power Up – the final piece of the puzzle

DEFA Power Up is simply the charger unit without a wall bracket – designed to fit directly onto a previously installed Power Ready S.

Once the customer decides they’re ready to activate charging at a specific spot, all it takes is mounting the DEFA Power Up. Done!

To sum it up: If you only need one or two chargers, choose DEFA Power. If you need a scalable solution that can grow with demand, choose DEFA Power S.
