Hardwired installation (by a certified electrician) connects DEFA Power directly to your home’s electrical system.
With the right electrical installation, DEFA Power can deliver up to 48A / 11.5 kW of charging power.
Ideal if you:

- Are installing a charger for the long term
- Are building or upgrading your home’s charging setup
- Prefer a clean, permanent installation
- Don’t need to move the charger
NEMA 14-50:
Flexibility. Simplicity. Plug & Play
With a suitable NEMA 14-50 outlet, DEFA Power connects using a plug rather than being hardwired without the need of a certified electrician.
The NEMA 14-50 configuration provides up to 40A / 9.6 kW of charging power.
Ideal if you:
- Already have a suitable NEMA 14-50 outlet
- Want the flexibility to disconnect or move your charger
- Don’t need the maximum 48A charging capacity
- Prefer a plug-in installation
